Kaleo are already a real phenomenon in their home country of Iceland. This year, the four-piece band is also entering our borders with their rousing mix of folk, blues and country. Kaleo quickly made a name for themselves at shows such as the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival.

The band name, which translates from Hawaiian as "sound", does the band full credit. From the very first notes, the soulful and melancholy voice of singer JJ Julius Son creeps into the listener's ear canals - and that's exactly where the songs remain for the next few weeks. After five number 1 placements for the first singles in Iceland, club and festival shows throughout Europe and the subsequent signing with Atlantic Records, Kaleo made the leap across the pond.

Without further ado, the four musicians swapped cold Iceland for their new adopted home of Austin, Texas, and have been causing a sensation in the USA ever since. The HBO series 'The Leftovers' chose 'Way Down We Go' as its title track and it wasn't long before it was included in the coveted FIFA 16 soundtrack compilation.
