Burn (1974) is Deep Purple’s eighth studio album and the first to feature David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass and backing vocals, marking the beginning of the Mk III lineup. It introduced a bluesier, funkier edge to Deep Purple’s hard rock sound while still delivering the high-energy riffs and virtuoso musicianship the band was known for.
Burn was a fresh start for the band after Ian Gillan and Roger Glover left, and while different from Machine Head or Made in Japan, it remains a fan favorite
