Beth Gibbons and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra present Henryk Górecki's "Symphony No. 3" in 2019.Together, Portishead's soprano and singer and the Polish orchestra conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki dedicated themselves to the legendary symphony of the famous Polish composer. Górecki's Third Symphony is nicknamed "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" and is by far his most famous work.The concert is now available in picture and sound. This is the first release of Beth Gibbons since the Portishead album "Third" from 2008.The performance on which this recording is based took place on 29 November 2014 at the National Opera Grand Theatre in Warsaw.Beth Gibbons had prepared himself intensively for the concert, learning the original lyrics without speaking Polish.
